La Research Through Co-design (RTC) (Busciantella Ricci & Scataglini, 2024) ovvero la ricerca attraverso il co-design è una prospettiva teorica che abbina la Research Through Design (Glanville, 2005; Findeli et al., 2008; Jonas, 2015) con la Control System Theory (Levine, 1996; Iglesias & Ingalls, 2010; King, 2021) facendo leva sul co-design come mezzo principale del processo di ricerca. L’RTC descrive un meccanismo di co-creazione della conoscenza attraverso un processo di co-progettazione all’interno di un processo di ricerca più ampio, sfruttando quindi anche processi basati sull’intelligenza collettiva e sulla creatività (Busciantella Ricci & Scataglini, 2020a; 2020b; 2024).
